Devil May Cry 5
Launch Campaign

Maverick approached us with the brief to help them create a digital campaign for the launch of Devil May Cry 5 for XBox. Using assets from the game’s key art, we designed the look-and-feel and concepted the storyboard.

Master Animation

Understanding that the campaign needed the wow-factor, we created a short but effective animation that would attract potential customers – online and in public spaces.

Motion Billboards

Stations and Malls
digital takeover

After the look-and-feel and master animation were signed off, we started designing the Digital Billboards that were displayed in placements across the UK – Shopping malls, Train Stations, Roadsides.

In three phases, pre-launch, available at stores and reviews, the billboards were seen by thousands of potential customers – shoppers and commuters.

Interactive and Standard
HTML5 Banners

The challenge here was to recreate the same impact for the Master Animation on HTML5 ads – including on 150kb standart banners. The “box transition” animation had to be impactful and with a realistic motion blur – although light-weight so it could be loaded quickly.

Using a mix of static image transformations with PNG Sequences we achieved the same animation as on the Digital Billboards.
